About This Webinar: Nearly two million people a year will develop a healthcare-associated infection (HAI) in the United States and 99,000 of them will die.*

In response to these staggering numbers, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced its new patient safety initiative. Starting in January 2008, hospitals may no longer get paid for HAIs associated with key clinical events.
