About This Webinar: Experts agree that hospital emergency preparedness teams must manage a pandemic event as a "local" outbreak. This informative recorded webinar addresses lessons learned by groups who have experienced local public health outbreaks, as well as disaster exercise events that could be incorporated into your pandemic planning. Topics covered include: staffing, resources, personnel preparedness, surge capacity, altered standards of care, vaccination clinics, and other key response activities. This one-hour webinar, written and presented by industry expert and author Peggy Luebbert, will assist hospital administrators; directors of nursing, infection control, materials management, or emergency preparedness; and safety officers update and incorporate improvements into their current emergency pandemic preparedness plans. The information provided will help you streamline the time-consuming process of pandemic planning by providing exercises that lead to improvement in true emergency response, enabling staff to practice their roles and gain experience. Best of all, the process guidelines you will learn can be easily adapted to a wide range of other biological exercise types, scenarios, and resources.
