Keynote Speaker / Author: Michael Astion, MD, PhD
Dr. Astion is currently a clinical pathologist who is a Professor and Director of Reference Laboratory Services at the University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine. He has authored dozens of interviews and editorials about patient safety. For his contributions to patient safety, Dr. Astion was awarded the 2006 American Association of Clinical Chemists Annual Award for Outstanding Clinical Laboratory Contributions to Patient Safety and the 2007 Annual Canadian Traveling Lectureship from the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists. |
